OK you guys, I just got back from the festival and it was amazing! I met lots of indie authors and ran into a few I already knew. The atmosphere was inviting and I was ready with my set up.
That’s the hubby sitting behind my booth. LOL.
Yes, it was a lot of work to prepare, but it was worth it. The readers were engaged and interested in learning more about me and my work, and of course they bought books, which was great!
I hate that my partner RM Johnson was not able to join me. I advertised that he would come but that’s how things go. He apologized that he just could not make it but look out for his forthcoming novel.
I got to the event at 8:45 and stood for most of the next 8 hours! But it was non-stop fun for me. The books that sold the most were my debut of course and the fairytale, Farley Malone & The Fudged Up Fables by Tanzy Kohl, my alter ego. But I’m glad because she was not getting the love I felt she deserved.
So all in all it was a great day and when I got to the room I was exhausted. The next event will be here in Charlotte so stay tuned for the info and if you are in the area please come out.
Now I’ve got to get back to writing!
