NanoWriMo is finally here and we are off to a great start! I have a close friend taking this journey with me and I am so excited to see how his book progresses.
On this very first day I discovered something that I actually expected: my Shot Sheet got altered. What does that mean? It means that as I started writing, the book took me where it wanted to go, so I had to move a few things around. I knew that would happen and I am not upset because it makes perfect sense.
I am sure that as the month progresses my book will take a few more twists and turns, as it should. That is the beauty of plotting while leaving yourself open to pants a bit.
So far I have completed two chapters — I did not plan how many I eventually need; that will take care of itself.
Fortunately, I planned my month so that I could have at least one vacation day a week. That way I can be free to write all day at least once a week, not including the weekends.
I hate using my entire Saturday and Sunday to write since I do want to spend time with my husband on those days. If you are participating, please be considerate to your family.
That’s it for now. Check back with me in a week for another update!
